" 'A Fizzle In The Letrun' affords the listener/viewer an exclusive peek through the third eye of rogue Rollers/Sparkers machine operative, Le Gateaux Bateaux. As main rhythm gatekeeper for that inscrutable act it is no surprise that the beats underpinning this track are deliciously jittery, yet perniciously skittery, as they seemingly carry you along the 4-minute journey in a rickety wooden cart with hexagonal wheels, the backseat filled with a giddy bunch of floor toms.
It coasts along on this juddery path, taking in several psychedelic episodes such as the increasingly swirly sitar scenery, the introduction of percussive pings over punctuating yelps and, around the midpoint, a nonsensical, barked vocal breakdown (a point where the trip temporarily develops into a something little more sinister) before breaking into a choral balm and blissful bubbling outerlude, at the end of which you receive a cheeky goodbye wink from the sitars as they dissolve into the glowing dawn, all fizzled out."

"So. It’s a Friday night and you’re walking down the street, about to turn left towards the welcoming neon of the local, thinking of the good things in life, like strawberries, sun holidays and apes when all of a sudden, you’re not walking down the street anymore….

You’ve been vortexed, mate.
You now find yourself sitting on a very comfortable, fancy settee, the cushions of which, descend gently under your weight for what seems like aeons - until you’re completely surrounded by them. They are the colour of finest Milky bar and are proper, real leather. Must have cost a few bob.
In front of you are a chorus of seven roundy yokes. They all look like a cross between Les Dawson and Letitia Dean (but covered in Highland Toffee). They slowly coalesce and point their collective finger at you. A gently chugging groove with swirling synths emanates forth from this saintly, glowing digit. You are aghast to see that these beings are now playing impossible instruments and singing in kindly beaming tones into near-mythical microphones. Now words emerge from their minds and manifest, mid-air into constituent Day-Glo-reptile-letters that make a beeline for your groove-glands. The letter-creatures climb up your arms and make their way up towards your head, eventually stuffing themselves into your ears. This feels lovely and snug. Like a massage from a long-lost ape.
You want to ask them how they are managing all this? And where did they get this sofa ? You’re open-mouthed and your mind has a hole in it that you could drive a really comfortable, expensive sofa through.
Suddenly, their leader pipes up - “DO NOT GIVE IN TO AMAZEMENT!!!”, it warns in a shrill tone, looking like a cross between Eric Bristow and Tammy Wynette (but covered In Jelly Tots). He fixes you with a stare that could nearly make Erin soup taste good. By now, their song has all but possessed you; that nifty groove, those icy, stalactite blasts of noise, them glorious pealing synths and liquidised vocals now lending irresistible advice:

You now feel a serious warmth rise from underneath and look down. One of these beings – who looks like a cross between The Krankies and Little and Large (but coated in Angel Delight) - is busy setting fire to your shoelaces. But you just watch it. You don’t kick out or anything like that. Cos’ this all still feels glorious. Like a big bowl of crunchy love with lashings of freezing cold affection.
Sofa must be flame retardant. Very expensive. They must have Luxury Interiors in space now. It's hot and getting hotter.
